Recipes from home, baked on Mansfield Road.

InBetween is a small Syrian café and bakery in Nottingham — a place for good coffee, homemade cakes and the kind of welcome we grew up with.

Where it began

InBetween began with the recipes we grew up with — the cardamom in the coffee, the za’atar on Saturday mornings, the trays of sweets that appear whenever guests arrive. In Syria, food is how you say welcome.

We wanted a small corner of Nottingham where that feeling lives on. Everything on our counter is made in our kitchen, each morning: soft cakes with pistachio, rose and orange blossom, savoury plates with fresh flatbread, and jars from home packed by hand.

The name is the moment in between — between coffee and conversation, between home and somewhere new. Baked moments, shared stories.

What matters to us

Come by for a coffee — the door’s open.
